EBay leaving Valueclick

Ebay has probably done the smartest thing they could have done, they are leaving Valueclick’s Commission Junction (CJ.COM).
In a statement on Monday, eBay said the online auctioneer and Half.com will no longer run their affiliate programs through Valueclick’s Commission Junction platform but instead rely on the San Jose, California-based company’s own newly created eBay Partner Network.
The changes will be finalised on April 1st 2008 a source from eBay claims. And all current affiliates using the CJ network to promote must change before May 1st.
So there you have it guys the deadline is May 1st 2008, so start planning on how your going to mass change those links if you haven’t already.
The Ebay affiliate program will be hosted on here. And will hold the regular if not more promotional tools.
I guess this could be another crazy way for eBay to push webmasters to use PayPal more, as this could be one of the forms of payments.
